This is a beautiful 1st floor apartment with sea-view terrace, located in the historic centre of Gallipoli and just a few steps away from the sea, characterized by a neat and luminous décor style with an exquisitely Mediterranean touch. The house is built on one lower level, while a staircase in the living room leads to the upper-level fully furnished and shady terrace, where one can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea.
As entrance from the alley, the small courtyard on the ground floor allows some space for bikes or a buggy. Here, on the right side, a blue door opens in a room used as storage/laundry; on the left side, stone stairs make way up to the house on the first floor: please note that there is no entrance door separating the house from the ground-floor courtyard space, but it is an undivided harmonious space. The stone staircase also serves as separation between the living and the sleeping area. In the latter, a hallway makes way to a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a large bathroom with shower. In the living area, the living room with stone sofas serves as access to the kitchen and dining area, and to a further bathroom with shower. From the living room, the stone staircase leads to the upstairs furnished terrace. This beautiful outdoor space offers a breath-taking view of the southern part of the bay of Gallipoli down to the coastal tower of Punta Pizzo, and is composed of two slightly uneven sectors: one is assigned as dining area, shaded by a pergola made of reed mats, furnished with a beautiful stone sofa with cushions and a 6/8 p. dining table; the other, as outdoor kitchen with sink, counter and stoves, perfect to cook dinner by the moonlight. Please note that one side of the stone sofa is quite low and might thus be dangerous for kids if unattended.
AMENITIES: washing machine, electric oven, warm/cool air conditioning in all rooms except bathrooms, 1 flat-screen TV with decoder (not Sky satellite), Wi-Fi, electric iron, space for no more than 4 bikes in the ground-floor courtyard.
The weekly price includes: water and electricity charges (up to a maximum of 150 kWh; exceeding consumption is charged additionally at the cost of € 0,30 per kWh), bed linen and bathroom towels (each further bed and/or bathroom set is provided at the additional cost of € 10,00), and housekeeping for two hours/day one day a week. It is instead excluded the final cleaning fee, amounting to € 120,00.
Please know that, as provided by the law, the payment of the tourist tax will be required.
FYI: car access to the historic centre of Gallipoli is never allowed. The car park at the dock is only a few-minute walk away.
To the seaside: the closest beach is “La Purità”, while the closest beach-club is “Lido Aquamarina” next to the restaurant “I Bastioni”, both at only 5-min walk away. Larger beaches as “Baia Verde”, “Punta della Suina”, “Lido Pizzo”, “Rivabella” are just 10-15 min drive away.
